Recently Ubisoft and Carbon Games announced that AirMech Arena will be hitting the Xbox One and PS4 this spring. If you haven’t heard of the game, AirMech Arena, it is an action real-time strategy game that was inspired by Herzog Zwei. According to their official blog post, “In AirMech Arena, players control powerful transforming weapons known as AirMechs to protect their bases and overtake enemy fortresses. Gamers will collect up to nine available AirMech’s, each with its own unique abilities, and command them to deploy defense units from the air or to transform into ground mode and defeat armies on the front line. As they gain experience, they will earn kudos (in-game currency) to unlock upgrades, new units and pilots to expand their collection, and customize their appearance with exclusive skins and effects.” There are multiple ways to play the game, you can play solo and complete quests and gain rewards, or play with up to four friends. There is ranked and unranked modes, as well as different modes such as 1vs1, 3vs3, and AI matches. It is free-to-play and has 12 different unlockable pilots and over 80 unique units.
