Hello Fatal1ty fans, Its intern Benny here to drop some more gamer news on you, today it’s Batman Arkham Knight. Although a delay from it’s original due date, Rocksteady games is coming out with their final Batman title to be released 2015 giving the Dark Knight a proper send off. Rocksteady, a somewhat unknown London based company, really took center stage with their cutting edge Batman titles making them one of the top dogs in the industry. Arkham Knight is to be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 taking advantage of the new systems raw power. “it’s not a challenge to move to next Gen,” Said game director Sefton Hill  “the real challenge Is making sure you’re getting the best out of the machines. It’s easy to get the game running, but it’s about, ‘what can we do that really pushes these machines.”

This title is supposed to be the crown jewel of the Batman line boasting a complete amped up version of their custom Unreal engine. The map gets a massive upgrade pumping out a larger Gotham City due to the awesome news that the Batmobile will finally make an appearance. From what I saw the Batmobile is gonna play a huge part in the game not only to get you from point A to point B, but there is also a battle mode. The Batmobile looks great as does Batman’s new suit, it really shows off the range of the artists giving it a (fan boys forgive me) Iron Man feel. During the beginning of the game play trailer I saw just Batman suiting up was amazing, the detail, the High tech look, the crisp clean view was enough to make any fans thumbs ache with anticipation.

So Batmobile, new suit, new streets, and upgraded engine, what else? How about a new villain? That’s right kids introducing the Arkham Knight. Rocksteady did this one right, collaborating with DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns to make a character that will rival the Bat. “we wanted to introduce someone who could really challenge Batman to go head to head with him in lots of different ways” said Hill. Returning to the game will be Harley Quinn, Penguin, Two Face, Riddler, Scarecrow and of course tons of hired goons to pull wicked combos off of.

Other little perks for this title include the return of Kevin Conroy for the iconic voice for the Dark Knight, Which for any of you keeping score is my iconic Batman. Also returning are Nolan North who played Penguin, Wally Wingert as Riddler, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, and Troy Baker as Two Face.  Oracle is also returning, but this time there is a face behind the voice. “Oracle is such a strong character in the universe that we really wanted to bring her to life in this game, rather than have her as just a voice” Hill says. Commissioner Gordon is in this title more after being entrusted with a bat-phone for keeping in touch during rough missions. The only negative thing I came across in my research of the game is that there will be no multiplayer mode. As a gamer I cringe but after reading Sefton Hill’s statement I feel a lot better, especially knowing WB has their back. “This is a single-player game. There is no multiplayer right at the start this was our vision. It’s going to take all of our effort for all of this time. We don’t have the time to do multiplayer.”Instead, Hill’s team plans “to focus on making the best single-player experience we can. We don’t feel that it needs a multiplayer element. Warner Bros. backed that up right at the start.” That being said I feel this title has nothing to worry about just driving around in the Batmobile boosting over stair cases, launching Batman from the cockpit, driving on walls and unloading massive amounts of ammo from the mounted gatling gun is enough to keep my attention for hours.

In my opinion this game isn’t gonna disappoint, with high resolution graphics, open game play, advanced gaming engine, upgraded characters and landscape it’s easily going to be on the top of my to get list in 2015. Rocksteady really changed the tide with their Arkham games and to be honest I’m a little sad that they’re moving on to another undisclosed project, I mean do you remember how bad DC hero games were before?
