It was announced that The Elder Scrolls Online is now available on Steam. In case you don’t know what kind of game The Elder Scrolls Online is let me inform you. It is a massive online multiplayer role-playing game. Players can create a character, choose from four classes, go on quests and freely explore. The Elder Scrolls Online was released April 4th, 2014 for the PC and Mac.

Steam, for some of you who don’t know, is an internet-based digital distribution and social networking platform by Valve Corporation. The Steam user interface includes a digital storefront for gamers to purchase computer games. Over 3,000 games are available through Steam and 75% of PC games were downloaded through Steam. A limited version of Steam is available for the Play station 3 console, iOS, and Android.

The Elder Scrolls Online release on Steam contains the Standard Edition and Imperial Edition to purchase. However there are some limitations for the release. If you already play the game you can add it to your Steam library as a non-Steam game. You won’t be given the key to the Steam version of The Elder Scrolls Online. The difference between the Standard Edition and Imperial Edition is that in the Imperial Edition you can play as an Imperial character.

The online version of the game has been in development for years. The online version is the latest chapter in the franchise. It is set 1000 years before Skyrim. The online version is the first in the franchise to feature multiplayer action. The next update for The Elder Scrolls Online is coming in August. The game is expected to be released for Xbox One and Play station 4 sometime this year. For all you fans of the game that have been waiting for it to come to Steam it is available on the platform now.
