As a gamer, I typically play games to relax and get away from the real world. I have also found that being a gamer lets me show the world that I can be me, and be whoever I want to be. The gaming world has endless outlets of entertainment and enjoyment. For me, the competitive side of gaming definitely captured me at a very young age. I guess it was inevitable that because of playing sports my whole life I needed to find something to fill the void late into the night. I found gaming. I had chances to play and communicate with different kids my age all around the world. I could showcase my skill in a virtual arena that I took just as seriously as playing tennis in high school and becoming team captain. I wanted to become team captain not only in tennis, but also in the video game world. I loved organizing some of the best players around the world and playing with kids all the way from New York to LA through the whole night.

So to you the gamer, what are your goals in gaming? Do you play for entertainment, relaxation, competition, to socialize, etc. etc.? I look forward to hearing what you have to say as this is a great question: What are your real goals in gaming? I actually think a lot of these are reflected in the answers that I listed, so you can definitely list them as well.
