Recently, Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel attended the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), one of the biggest gaming expos in the world. E3 2012 started on June 5 and did not stop till June 7—and neither did Fatal1ty. In three days, Fatal1ty participated in charity events, gamed with celebrities and fans alike, and attended multiple E3 VIP events.

During the day, Fatal1ty spent the majority of his time at the (RED) RUSH Games Booth, a worldwide charity organization that is actively fighting the spread of AIDS and tirelessly seeking its cure.

(RED) held a celebrity gaming tournament where celebrities played against each other as well as adoring fans, culminating the 10 day (RED) RUSH Gaming event. A few of the celebrities in attendance were Kate Upton, Wayne Brady, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Kris Allen, and Jorge Garcia. For the Fatal1ty fans that could not make it to E3, the (RED) RUSH tournament was streamed live worldwide. In addition to playing other celebrities, (RED) RUSH Games held an online sweepstakes each day and a lucky winner was able to play against Fatal1ty in the game of their choice. With the help of Fatal1ty and fellow celebrities, the (RED) RUSH Games was able to raise valuable funds for the charity.

When he wasn’t at the (RED) RUSH Games Booth, Fatal1ty was taking E3 by storm. He held meet and greets with loyal fans and could be seen talking to members of the press as well as industry leaders. Fatal1ty took time to appear in a public service announcement for Extra Life, a charity organization that uses gaming to raise funds for children’s hospitals around the country, The public service announcement promoted an upcoming, online gaming charity event to be held October 20, 2012.

At night, Fatal1ty made the rounds to many E3 VIP events including affairs held by Twitch TV, Hawken, Shifted 2u, Gearbox, and RED RUSH. E3 was an overwhelming success for the Brand and Fatal1ty’s activities raised awareness for many remarkable charities while simultaneously exposing Fatal1ty Brand products to a wide audience.
