With summer coming to a close, I thought it would be fun to recap everything I’ve done outside of gaming this summer! As you guys know, during the summer I often am outside enjoying the weather, and then play games at night.

One of the things I got to do this summer is I went to a driving class so that I could learn how to race SR3 Radical race cars! Doing that was really thrilling!  I spun out a couple times around corners, but the acceleration and rush of racing my friend was all I needed.  We timed our best laps and I ended up beating him by only a half of a second.

I also got to go whitewater rafting on the American river in Auburn California with fellow entrepreneurs. We hiked down to American River to do some class III – IV whitewater rafting!  I really enjoy being out on the water and fighting our way down the river.

As many of you saw I went to Brazil recently for promotion of my new Fatal1ty Motherboards powered by ASRock!  GEEK Store is our distributor down there, and I ended up doing some crossfit on the beach with the CEO before doing exhibition matches with the fans.  It was also an amazing arrival to Fortaleza as tons of fans greeted me at the airport with a huge banner welcoming me to their city!  Made me smile and feel very special to visit everyone!

My dad and I played in a couple golf tournaments this summer, which was really great.  We took 3rd out of like 60 teams at my home course TPC Summerlin where they hold the Shriners PGA Tournament every year.  We later on went to Kansas City and played his home course and took 1st there which was great redemption.  Every year I look forward to playing golf with my Dad.  It’s a constant rival.

The coolest thing I did probably this summer was going fly boarding at Lake Powellin Arizona! The board I used was attached to my feet, so it felt like I was Iron Man flying around in the water and air!

What did you guys get to do this summer when not gaming?  Let me know as I’m always fascinated with what people do with their free time when they’re away from the game.  Mine is always something else active and competitive, has to be.
